Something that I learned in the rooms of 12 Step Programs is that Fear is: False. Evidence. Appearing. Real. Or, I have heard people say that it is Fuck. Everything. And Run. :) Hopefully, that got a little laugh out of you, and we can ease right into the topic of fear and how to tell it to disappear.
How often does fear plague every action or decision you make? When I come from a place of fear, the energy I bring into that decision or thought is not coming from a place of love. And we all know, love manifests love. I just went through making a decision where I allowed fear to creep in. I let my ego cripple my spirit and send me into some serious anxiety. I tried to force a solution to get out of the un-comfortability of my fear, but my angels had another idea. For me, the number one way to overcome fear is having a heart to heart with my Higher Power. If I put God in charge, then no decision is a wrong decision.
I just finished May Cause Miracles, and I learned that I have a choice to see love instead of fear. I mentioned my ego before. My ego wants me to feel like I can't do it, I am not good enough, and no one will go for my ideas. My ego is judgment on my spirit. It's time to surrender these judgments and call in my angels. When I am in fear, I get quiet. I ask myself what am I afraid of? I face it, head on. I ask my angels to show me love. I breathe. I let go, and I trust in the power outside of myself and my ego to lead the way to peace and serenity. Through the law of attraction, if I release this fear and fall into faith, I am free, and abundance and positivity flow into my life. I believe this.
I reached out to my spirit tribe to see what they are doing to conquer fear. The number one response was meditation. Even if you start small with it, it's a start. Breathe deep and close your eyes and try for a few minutes at first. The first time I meditated was at Agape in Los Angeles with Dr. Michael Beckwith. After one minute I wanted to gouge my eyes out with spoons, I was so bored. My ego told me I was too good to meditate. I recently did a 40-day meditation on manifesting my dreams. By quieting my mind and accepting this beautiful process, I invited love into my life and fully embraced my meditation practice. I wished I would have been gentler on myself at Agape and surrendered to my fear, but when the student is ready, the teacher appears.
Here are some of my soul tribe's tips to make their fear disappear, (click on their name to follow them on Social Media.)
Michelle Kapture: I'm using my three step process, which is Stop, Delete, and Restate, every time I hear a fearful thought.
Michelle Kellogg: What helps me dissolve fear is having a consistent spiritual practice, specifically a Kundalini Yoga Sadhana, every single morning. Mindfully starting my day with yoga, pranayam, and meditation builds my strength, faith, and confidence.
Katrina: I overcome fear by looking at what I'm scared of directly in the eyes. Telling my inner voice that it's okay, that it's only false evidence appearing real. I can overcome this! I call on my guides and angels to shower me with love at that moment when fear comes up.
Kalen: To overcome fear, during meditation, I imagine each of my worries and fears as a glass ornament. I realize it's valueless and breaks easily, so I put it in a basket on an alter.
Ninah: 1. I accept that the fear is there. 2. Visualize the best situation that can happen. 3. Try to clear the negative energy that the fear has caused through self-healing.
Savannah: To overcome my fears of my past, I had to face them directly, embrace the terror and pain I found within them and submerge myself into its root so deeply that I felt it in every fiber of my being. Only then, when I fully understood the pain that was causing my fear, did I manage to overcome it.
Kimberly:The best way I know for overcoming fear is to remember that I (we) never walk alone. I picture God/Jesus walking with me. It is the most beautiful authentic comforter to me.
Prema: I lovingly challenge those voices in my head and remember Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real.
Mary Sue: I overcome my fears by asking spirit for help. Having divine guidance and knowing that I'm not alone gives me a lot of courage! Also, I ask myself, "what would I do in (x scenario) if I wasn't afraid?". Then I try to be bold and set the fear aside.
If I could get back all the hours and energy I invested into my fear; I could live another lifetime. It takes courage to face your fears, so give yourself a loving hug right now and be proud of yourself. If you are reading this blog, you are already taking the first step! I am proud of you! Feel free to leave comments below on the fears you are going through and your ways of tackling that False. Evidence. Appearing Real.
