I noticed this morning when I woke up my email box was flooded with gratitude emails and Black Friday Specials. It made me think about gratitude and Thanksgiving. How can we keep the gratitude momentum after giving thanks on a special day of the year? I am sure some of you already are grateful, but what stops us from voicing it loud, proud and from the rooftops on the other 364 days out of the year?
Through my work in Alanon, my first sponsor invited me to make a gratitude list every day. I was in so much despair and pain that I struggled to come up with a list. She suggested I start with five gratefuls. Frozen Yogurt, Chester, and my Apple products were on my list every day for a while because I couldn't get out of my negative thinking to notice all the good around me. I am happy to say today, ten years later I write ten things I am grateful for every day. I haven't skipped a day this year. My gratitude and appreciate flows out of me. When my attitude is of gratitude, nothing can take me down. I am lovable, graceful, blissful and happy!
Here is my list today.
1. Chester. ( he always makes the list)
2. My Mom's boyfriend getting out of the hospital today.
3. Helping a new Social Media client.
5. Candles and Incense.
6. My God Box.
7. Writing my book.
8. My tribe on Social Media.
9. My Mom and my Niece.
10. Spirit Junkie Masterclass level 2 is just 4 days away!!!!!
I am hoping you will join me in making a gratitude list every day. It helps to use a fun journal to get you in the mood with pretty colored pens. :) Just a suggestion. And if you don't feel quite up to it, start small by commenting below one thing that you are absolutely grateful about your life today. Surely, you can find something.
Love to you guys! Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday! Let's keep the gratitude momentum!
